It am so proud to announce my first website. I swapped out my makeup brushes for my laptop during lockdown part three, and I am so glad I did.
A website is something I have wanted to get around to for a long time. It is easy to think that everyone uses Social Media in this day and age, but the website is going to allow me to hopefully engage with more potential clients and for you all to get to know me and my work.
I hope you enjoy! Lots of love x
Oh my, I love this shoot. It was such beautifully put together in terms of styling and the dress was perfect for the concept. Well Done Team!
Hair and Makeup - we had such an easy task with Kara - naturally beautiful and hair of dreams... Holly's vision was a copper tone to the eyes with a matte base. I wanted to the sunset theme to show dimension to the skin with a subtle highlight in the high points of the face. If you want to include neutral tones in your wedding, a hint of the tones through the makeup really do compliment perfectly.
Head over to Holly's website for a full gallery of the shoot and the amazing styling & photo'opt locations at Laceby Manor.

So COVID-19 takes over the world, and we descend into lockdown... i received a message from Amy at Amy Lauren Weddings asking me if I would be able to step in and help on a shoot. I replied, 'anytime for you, but I can't work on anyone under the restrictions...' Well she had a little sneaky trick up her sleeve & was asking me to be the MODEL! There was an even bigger catch, the shoot required a Groom... and I had one that suddenly had a lot of time on his hands... so here we go, WEDDING PART 2.
The shoot took place at the stunning Leadenham Estate based in Lincolnshire and when I say the set up for the shoot was incredible... they had set up the concept of a 'Sweetheart Table' which for your Wedding Breakfast is an intimate table for just you & your new husband. It's a unique idea and actually, it is perfect to allow the two of you some alone time to chat and take in the day. On the shoot however, the laughter at the table was genuine as I couldn't stop laughing at the hat that they put the Groom in (sorry!!! ha)
The lighting and styling of the shoot was perfect, the weather however, we had had heat waves both weekends either side of the shoot - and the temperatures decided to plummet the weekend they wanted me outside all day in a stunning dress... so a lot of the photos had us huddled together to avoid me turning blue... I honestly have so much respect for models, even more so now i had to (TEMPORARILY) step into their shoes.
The makeup style was similar to that which I wore on my own wedding day, very natural, with a glowy base to the skin and little detail in terms of eyeshadow with the focus being on the skin and a gloss lip. Being in lockdown, I also had to play hairdresser actually for both of us (I 100% do not have any skills with hair) so I am quite impressed with myself.
The husband and wife team behind TTS Media literally are a force - the shots, the precision behind the camera and video camera created a stunning album of images that I actually have up alongside my own wedding photos.
So not only was I proud that I was 'model material', but the shoot was featured by Belle Bridal which was absolutely incredible - my makeup, MY FACE and MY HUSBAND. If makeup doesn't work out... maybe I have another career option... (I joke.....)
I wore two dresses from Iconic Bride which were absolutely stunning, and the flowers (which I got to take home, thank you...) were the most stunning peonies boutique I think I have ever seen.

WOW! This shoot was my first feature on Brides Up North & we were all so proud that the vision was so well received. The concept and styling suited so well to the Leadenham House which provided the perfect backdrop to these stunning images.
The makeup brief was romantic, and fitting to a ballet dancer. Kennedy, the Model - WOW. The makeup really stood the test of the day, dancing, getting the angles and wore for well over 12 hours from our application. This is key when considering your wedding makeup - long wearing does not mean heavy makeup, it's about application and setting - even the lipstick lasted the day (including the biscuit / food breaks!!)
It is always an honour to be asked to be part of a shoot as it gives us creatives the opportunity to showcase our work and encourage new bridal themes/styles.

Well, I can honestly say that this training really upped my game... Katie is extremely talented and I had followed her on socials for a long time. I patiently waited until I felt confident enough with my own skill to book in for a 1-1 session. I hadn't needed to wait so long because she catered the teaching to my ability. Katie is so patient and I was in awe of her skill (and her kit!!!) She had recently opened her Academy in Sheffield and it genuinely felt like she wanted to better my skills, offering encouragement and technique tips throughout.
My pre-course and post-course makeups really do show how much I learnt, and I hope to complete her bridal training course soon!

think chic, think boho, think beach wedding - this shoot had it all. The stunning Model, Katie is absolutely unbelievable. i was given pretty much free reign with the makeup look. I wanted to put a GLAM vibe to this makeup.
When a bride sits in my chair for a trial, it is not uncommon for the reference pictures to be a combination of English Rose, Glam and natural makeup - all of which have a different feel to them. This makeup was the hybrid of these - the eyes with the lashes & shimmer shouted GLAM whereas the skin was glowy with a peachy cheek to compliment the eye shimmers and the hair piece.
It is always fun to work with Payge, and this girl has skills! She makes it look so effortless.
I am always in awe of the dresses at Naomi Bridal Boutique (Cleethorpes). The images capture the full impact of this dress. A true vision of a shoot, and something which you could easily recreate on your wedding day.

If your wedding dream, is boho, barn chic - this shoot is for you. A blustery sunday morning at Claxby Grange where the barn had been completely dressed to perfection for an intimate wedding reception. it was full of local suppliers, and it was a great atmosphere. The Model, Milly truly is a muse for a Makeup Artist - simply stunning - so we knew to keep the makeup light, glowy but a hint of GLAM with a nude lip and shimmer to the eye.
The hair was very romantic'esque by Jess and complimented the beautiful gown.

To say i was nervous would be an understatement... This was my first styled shoot, but I had no need to even worry. The team involved were amazing & the model, Marie is such a natural beauty that whatever makeup we did, she'd look amazing.
The shoot was all the vision of Photographer, Holly - who has such an eye to make what would ordinarily be a simple and beautiful photo but then finding the edge and making it so unique.
The venue is one of my favourites locally, Healing Manor based in Healing village, just outside of Grimsby Centre. The Manor comprises of the old house which is ornately decorated, if that is your vibe but then comprises of the newer features such as the converted barn ceremony area & the insanely beautiful bridal suites! The food, OMG also unbelievable... there is also a small pond/lake area with its own resident Swans -fun fact, I am actually scared of birds like this - and one in particular has been known to chase me out of the bridal suites to my car.
The team at Healing were so accommodating for the shoot and gave us an all access pass for Holly to get the shoots after the glam team were done! I worked alongside Janice who is based in Humberston - a hair Magician!!!
I love these shoots because it is our chance to come together to create a vision to help inspire feature weddings, but also to share with one another our passion for the Wedding industry.
